It has been announced by Government that property rate for the various MDAs would no longer be handled the Assembly’s themselves but would rather be handled by Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
This is because it has been observed that certain citizens collude with Property Rates agents to evade their payments or pay lesser amount. This is also part of the Administration’s efforts to digitalized the country.
All transactions for Property Rate would now be done on www.myassembly.gov.gh.
Personnel from the various MDAs have been selected and trained to handle the MyAssembly.gov portal. Citizens who pay their property rate through the portal can log in to www.myassembly.gov.gh and create an account.
They can then add one or more properties (buildings) to their account and a bill detailing the amount they owe would be generated. They can subsequently make payments through Mobile Money (Momo) or a cheque to the bank. The receipt would then be sent through email or text message.
