JUABEN GOVERNMENT HOSPITAL GETS NEW X-RAY UNIT

The Juaben Rural Bank (JRB) has constructed an ultra-modern x-ray unit for the Asante Juaben government
hospital.
The facility, valued at GH₡346,000.00, would help provide efficient and effective x-ray services to patients who visit the hospital.
Nana Kwabena Appiagyei Asante-Krobea, Board Chairman of the bank, speaking at the ceremony, said the facility was part of the corporate social responsibility initiatives of the bank.
He said the people in Juaben and its adjoining communities had been the backbone of the growth and development of the bank since its establishment some forty years ago.
There was, therefore, the need to contribute to the health and welfare of the people by ensuring that they have access to quality healthcare at all times.

“The bank has many workers at Juaben and almost all of them seek medical care from the hospital, and there is the need to ensure that the staff has quality health care,” Nana Asante-Krobea added.
He said the bank had over the years helped traders to expand their businesses, increase their incomes and improve their livelihoods.
The Board Chairman called on the people to take advantage of the bank’s many attractive products such as pension’s schemes and savings for children’s education for a brighter future.
Nana Otuo Serebuo II, Paramount Chief of Juaben traditional area, said the facility would enable the hospital to provide prompt medical care and diagnosis services to the people.
This he said, would promote excellent and convenient healthcare, adding that it was prudent for every facility to have an x-ray unit to make it complete.
He called on the hospital’s authorities to ensure good maintenance of the facility for it to benefit many generations to come.
Dr Frederick Osei–Owusu, Medical Superintendent of the hospital, thanked the bank for the gesture and appealed to other individuals, philanthropists and organisations to support the hospital with additional facilities to provide the needed quality healthcare to the people.
