PUBLIC RELATIONS COMPLAINTS COMMITTEE MEETING

The meeting took place on Wednesday, 14th December, 2022 at the Assembly’s Conference Room.

During the meeting, the chairman gave an overview of the roles played by the PRCC members.

Some of the functions of the PRCC from the Local Governance Act 2016:

a. Educate the member of the Public of the accountability in the dealings of the District Assembly with the public.

b. Promote transparency, probity and accountability in the dealings of the District Assembly with the public.

c. Investigate complaints or allegations made against the conduct of the District Chief Executive, members of the District Assembly, staff of the District Assembly and staff of the departments of the District Assembly.

Various ways to introduce PRCC to the public were also discussed.
