LET US UNITE TO ACCELERATE DEVELOPMENT- JUABEN MCE APPEALS

The Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Mr. Omane Aboagye has called for unity among Juaben residents to help promote development.

He explained that the municipality could develop as expected to improve the standard of living of residents through absolute unity. “We are united as one people regardless of our numbers and political affiliation and there is nothing that we cannot achieve by putting our norms together”, he stressed.

He made this appeal when he was addressing a section of people at Amangoase community during the day seven (7) of his ten days community engagement tour.

Mr. Omane continued that the Assembly cannot succeed without support from the Member of Parliament so they should therefore unite as one people and hence bring development in the municipality.

He expressed his gratitude and identified himself to the Chief, Assembly Members and the people in the community for their full support when he was nominated for the position by the President. The MCE also humbly requested blessings, prayers, advice and support from the Chiefs to speed up the development agenda of the municipality.

Some of the communities visited were Achiase, Akronwi, Esaase, Wabiri, Peminase, Adumasa, New Bomfa, Duampompo, Kubease and Yaw Nkrumah. Others were New Koforidua, Boamadumase, Atia, Sekyere, Domakwai, Woramponso, Wanaa and Yeboakrom.

The community engagement also gave him the opportunity to interact with the Chiefs and residents on their problems.

Most of the communities visited shared similar challenges such as poor road network, extension of electricity, street bulbs, portable drinking water, construction of health centres, police posts to combat crime, toilet facilities, school blocks and job issues as some of their major problems.

The MCE was accompanied by the Presiding Member (PM), Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD), Rev. Peter Antwi Boasiako, some Heads of Departments, Assembly Members as well as Party Executives.

The residents through their Chiefs acclaimed the MCE for the visit and pleaded with him to address their challenges.
