The Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaben Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mrs. Ama Pomaa Boateng has donated fifty (50) bags of cement to Nkyerepoaso M/A primary school in the Juaben Municipality to support their renovation project.
The move, according to MP would go a long way to aid the renovation works on their classroom block in order to ensure a conducive environment for teaching and learning. The donation was made by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Juaben Mr. Omane Aboagye on behalf of the MP during a programme to raise funds to help the revamping of the school. Speaking at the programme after the donation, the MCE said this form part of the stretagic plan to ensure rapid development in the Municipality. He, however, reaffirm the readiness of his administration together with the workaholic Member of Parliament to develop Juaben Municipality. Mr. Aboagye admonished the town folks to take advantage of the support to rekindle their communal spirit and work together to ensure every initiative intended to improve the welfare of the people in every part of the Municipality.
The Boafouhene of Juaben Traditional Area, who represented the Paramount Chief of Juaben Traditional Council, Daasebre Otuo Siribour ll, advised the pupils to take their studies seriously to enjoy the Free SHS after basic school, adding that education is the only way to bridge the gap between the rich and the poor, so they shouldn’t joke with their studies. Nana cautioned parents and guardians to refrain from using their ward’s on the farm during school hours so as to guarantee them a brighter future. He also presented an amount of Two Thousand Ghana cedis (2,000) on behalf of Daasebre Otuo Siribour ll, towards the renovation of their classroom block. Madam Hannah Adutumwa, Head Teacher of Nkyerepoaso M/A primary school who received the cement on behalf of the school thanked the MP, MCE and Daasebre Otuo Siribour ll for their kind gesture and pledged to use the cement for the intended purpose.
