The Municipal Chief Executive for Juaben Municipal Assembly, Mrs. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu (Hon.), has commissioned a newly constructed 1 No. 2-Unit kindergarten (KG) block equipped with a Staff common room, Storeroom and Toilet facilities at New Koforidua Roman Catholic School in the Juaben Municipality.
Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Mrs. Ansu emphasized the importance of protecting public educational infrastructure, stressing that the facility was built to enhance teaching and learning at the foundational level. She urged the teachers and school authorities to make effective use of the facility and ensure it is well-maintained.
She showed appreciation to the erstwhile Akuffo Addo government for starting this project, she explained furthermore that The President of the Republic Ghana His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has assigned them to complete all the legacy projects left by the previous government.
The Ag. Municipal Education Director, Mr. Kwabena Owusu thanked the Assembly, the MCE and the Government for their dedication and contribution to the education sector, especially Juaben Municipality. He also urged the various communities to extend a friendship to teachers posted to them, to curb the syndrome of teachers refusing postings to some parts of friendship to teachers posted to them, to curb the syndrome of teachers refusing postings to some parts of the country. He then encourages parents and guardians to enroll their children of school-going age in schools and strive to get the best education for their children.
The Chief of New Koforidua, Nana Sarpong Kumankuma I expressed his profound gratitude to the government for such kind gesture. He also used the opportunity to make other needs of the community known.
