Juaben MCE Presents 800 Furniture to Education Directorate

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Mrs. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu has presented 800 ultramodern furniture to the education directorate for further distribution to schools in the municipality.

This distribution took place on Wednesday, 24th June 2026 at the Old Assembly Premises.

The furniture, made up of 800 mono desks were distributed to 11 schools including Technical and Vocational Education Training (TVET).

Presenting the items, Mrs Ohenewaa Ansu said improving education in the municipality was a priority to the assembly, adding that gesture was to improve education and provide better environment for the students to study.

She continued that it was unfortunate to have some schools still studying without adequate furniture or infrastructure and added that the assembly would allocate funds to curb the challenge.

The MCE tasked the schools to ensure proper maintenance of the furniture so that it will last long. She gave assurance to the education directorate that other sets will be ready by next year to be shared to the remaining schools.

The Ag. Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Kwabena Owusu thanked the MCE and the Assembly for the gesture and assured it of judicious use of the items and also promised to ensure proper maintenance of the furniture to enable them last for future generation.

The program was attended by the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Kwame Brefo Boateng, Municipal Education Directorate, Heads of Department, Assembly Staff, Teachers and Students.
