JUABEN MCE HOLDS FIRST MEETING WITH ASSEMBLY STAFF AND HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Juaben Municipality, Hon. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu, has held her first Heads of departments and staff meeting at the old Juaben Circuit Court. The meeting provided an opportunity for the MCE to familiarize herself with all departments and units staff of the assembly.

The agenda for the meeting led by the Municipal Coordinating Director Dr. Stephen Lurimuah (MCD) was to officially introduce Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to the management and staff Juaben Municipal Assembly.

He added that the MCE is the political head of the Assembly to ensure the implementation of government initiatives as the general staff are to supports her to achieve goals set for the Juaben municipality.

He finally congratulated and welcomed Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu to the Assembly staff and pledged his readiness to support her during her tenure of office.

The MCD opened the floor for all heads of departments and units to outline their functions and challenges in their respective fields of work to the new MCE.

The heads of departments outlined key challenges such as poor working conditions, lack of logistics, lack of human resource in some departments, poor access to internet among others.

 Speaking at the meeting, the director of Agric Mr. Adu Gyamfi outlined some challenges they faced in their line of duty, which includes lack of accommodation, illegal mining activities, which is a major challenge and it affects food nutritional security in the municipality and lack of motor bikes for monitoring and inspection of lands.

Head of roads department Mr. Kyenkyenhene Isaac also raised concerns affecting their work, some are as follows lack of human resource since he is the only one managing the affairs of the department and lack of vehicle for monitoring and inspection of roads contracts before and after completion.

The MCE extended a heartfelt welcome greetings and appreciation to the assembly members of the municipality for a successful confirmation exercise.

She stated there are a lot of works ahead to be accomplished and her style is going to be an open door to everybody. She assured the members that he is ready to accept and work with developmental proposals and programs brought to her table.

She also said she will not welcome backbiting as well as any false and negative reportage about fellow staff.

The MCE, Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu told all staff to be united and work as a team to develop the Juaben Municipality.
