
The ASASE Foundation, an NGO, dedicated to sustainable plastic waste management, has commissioned a new recycling plant in Juaben, Ashanti Region on 29th October 2025.

According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Madam Dana Mosora, the plant aims to create a clean, plastic-free environment, promoting sustainable waste management and healthier communities.

This facility marks the company’s third recycling plant in Ghana, complementing its existing two branches in Accra.

She announced that the company envisions establishing similar recycling plants in the Western and Northern Regions to effectively manage plastic waste materials and create more opportunities for the youth in those regions.

The CEO appealed to companies in the Ashanti Region that produce or manufacture plastic products to consider The ASASE Foundation for quality raw materials.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Juaben, Mrs. Eunice Ohenewaa Ansu, commended the team for choosing Juaben for the factory.

She expressed optimism that the initiative would not only boost economic activities in the area but also complement the National Sanitation Day exercise aimed at ensuring a clean environment.

Nana Owusu Yentumi, the Gyasehene of Juaben, who represented Daasebre Otuo Sireboe, the Paramount Chief of Juaben Traditional Area, noted that beyond the economic benefits, the community anticipates a cleaner environment.

He urged the workers to exhibit good behavior and diligence to achieve the company’s purpose.
